Featherstone Psychology offers in-person therapy in West Los Angeles. We also offer virtual therapy across the state of California.

In-person therapy for children is highly recommended, especially for littles.

At any stage of life, the goal of therapy isn’t only to reduce anxiety—it's to help individuals move forward with resilience!

Therapy for

Children & Littles

Therapy helps young children build confidence and healthy coping skills from the start! It also gives parents the guidance and support needed to help your child thrive—not just in the therapy room, but at home and beyond.

Therapy for

Adolescents & Teens

Just being a teenager is hard enough! Therapy gives tweens and teens a place where they feel understood, learn to trust themselves, and discover that they are capable of doing hard things—even when anxiety tells them otherwise.

Therapy for

Young Adults

The transition into adulthood comes with big questions, big decisions, and a lot of uncertainty. Whether anxiety, OCD, or perfectionism has left you feeling stuck, therapy can help you move forward and build a life that feels like your own.

Therapy for

Adults & Parents

You may have spent years carrying the weight of anxiety while showing up for everyone else. Therapy is a space to slow down, untangle old patterns, and reconnect with the life you want to be living.

You wouldn’t just trust your child and family with anyone, so….

Playful & Engaging

Because children learn best when therapy feels like something they can participate in—not something being done to them.

Family-Focused

Because meaningful change happens both inside and outside the therapy room.

Developmentally Appropriate Care

We tailor therapy to each child’s developmental stage, strengths, personality, and individual needs.

The girl has light brown skin, is wearing a pink hat, a pink shirt, and floral patterned pants, and is adjusting her hat. When anxiety takes over, everything starts to shrink.

School becomes a battle.
Daily routines fall apart.
Your child feels overwhelmed—and your family is constantly adapting.

Featherstone Psychology helps sensitive children and teens build the strength, structure, and resilience needed to function again.

At Featherstone Psychology, we believe meaningful change happens when individuals feel safe enough to be vulnerable and supported enough to take on life's hardest challenges.

Our goal is to provide therapy that is both compassionate and grounded—meeting patients with empathy while equipping them with practical tools to create lasting change.

If you or your child  is navigating OCD, anxiety, ARFID, or school refusal, Featherstone is a place where you can find both a soft place to land, and a steady foundation from which to grow.

Therapy Focuses

A few of the issues I treat in children and teens:

  • Illustration of a black feather with two overlapping abstract blue and green oval shapes behind it.

    OCD

When OCD takes over, it doesn't just affect the child—it can control the entire family. Together we'll face fears, reduce compulsions, and reclaim confidence while preventing the OCD cycle.

  • Illustration of a black-outlined feather over two overlapping ovals: one light orange and another burnt orange.

    Anxiety

Whether you or your child worries constantly, avoids new experiences, struggles with perfectionism, or experiences panic, therapy helps build courage rather than avoid discomfort.

  • A stylized drawing of a mustard yellow oval overlapping with the black outline of a feather.

    ARFID & Picky Eating

Eating can become a daily battle for individuals with ARFID. We work to reduce fear around food, expand flexibility, and help mealtimes become less stressful for everyone.

  • Stylized white feather illustration over two overlapping oval shapes in muted green and brown.

    School Refusal

When getting to school feels impossible, families often feel trapped between pushing too hard and giving in. We'll identify what's driving the avoidance and build a plan to help your child return to school.

Psychology for Anxious Families

I don't just work with anxious kids—I work with anxious family systems.

When anxiety becomes the decision-maker, families slowly begin organizing life around it:

  • Vacations get canceled.

  • Restaurants become impossible.

  • Parents avoid setting limits.

  • Siblings feel overlooked.

  • School attendance becomes unpredictable.

  • Daily routines revolve around preventing meltdowns.

Treatment isn't simply reducing symptoms. It's helping your child learn they can handle uncertainty while helping parents respond in ways that build resilience instead of reinforcing anxiety.

Let’s get started and collaborate.

At Featherstone Psychology, therapy is a collaborative investment in the entire family. By strengthening the people and relationships surrounding a child, we create the conditions for meaningful, enduring change—change that continues long after each session ends.

Our work extends beyond the therapy room by equipping caregivers with the insight, confidence, and practical tools needed to navigate challenges with intention. Together, we create consistency across home, school, and daily life so that therapeutic gains become integrated into a child's natural environment rather than remaining confined to weekly sessions.
